Our Story

Venessa Homewood (Coco) and Jada Powell (Thumper) started out as neighbors running small businesses in the same community—often crossing paths and exchanging hellos.

Things slowly shifted when they began supporting each other’s businesses, trading resources and fulfilling client orders. One day, Venessa casually mentioned she had been working out with a women’s fitness group called FiA and invited Jada to come try a workout.

That one invite changed everything.

Through FiA, they became consistent workout partners, early-morning accountability, and eventually real friends. Over time, conversations turned from workouts to business, and they started recognizing how well their strengths complemented each other.

Venessa had a sharp eye for design and branding.
Jada was skilled in strategy and client relationships.

It didn’t take long to realize they could build something better together—so they did.

Houston Apparel Co. was born.

What began as a casual connection through FiA has grown into a thriving business partnership that serves clients from local small businesses to national organizations. And now, they’re honored to take on their next chapter—as FiA’s nationwide apparel operator.

FiA didn’t just bring them fitness—it gave them community, connection, and the opportunity to build something meaningful together.
